Personalised Booklets

Completely personalised booklets are produced focusing on student weaknesses. Each booklet contains 16 pages containing a cover page and 5 topics each with 3 pages. These are the first 5 topics from the test which already brings in some differentiation. A PDF of the whole class can be produced and all the booklets can be printed at once, double sided and 2 per page. There is also a worksheet mode for those teachers wanting to reduce printing. Students can login to see their pinpoint topics and video links. Students can access solutions via a password you give them. Students can access their online diagnostic questions. Students can login in, and after you give them a password they can see full worked solutions to their questions. They should be marking the booklets themselves. Differentiation

The students ability is estimated from their test score.
Then:
(1) The first 5 topics the student get ‘wrong’ are selected which is the first level of differentiation.
(2) The difficulty of the questions vary on the student’s ability. Stronger students face harder students than weaker students.
(3) The cut-off for whether a student get a question ‘wrong’ varies on the ability of the student. A weak student may not practise a question they get 2 out of 3 on, but a stronger student will.
(4) Very able students who ‘run out’ of topics are given extension questions containing only the hardest GCSE questions to stretch them.

Questions have been very carefully chosen to match up with the exam paper but also to support the student around the subject area they have fallen down on. Often questions have been made specifically for the paper itself.
